This #GoodNewsFriday we’re celebrating the incredible journey of our guest, Ameer, who recently began a management training position in digital marketing.

Ameer faced eviction from his Home Office accommodation and was given 28 days to find somewhere to stay.

He said: “I looked for anyone who could host me and then I found Refugees at Home. I sent them a message and they called me immediately!”

Within two days we were able to place him with Timothy, one of our co-founders, who helped him with his job hunt.

“It felt like when you’re living in the desert and move to the city. I’ve never met anyone like Timothy in my life – he’s always trying to help me with my English, and everything else.”
