Last week she finally got Leave to Remain, after 12 YEARS in limbo. That’s largely thanks to Kate’s neighbours, who took on N’s case and have battled for years. As Kate says: “thanks to her brilliant legal team she won through in the end. It was a stroke of luck that she came to us – my next door neighbour is a barrister and her colleague is one of the country’s foremost barristers specialising in immigration and nationality. They took on her case and didn’t give up!!”

So, great news at last – but what a horrendous process for N and those who love her.
