For many arriving in the UK fleeing war, violence, and persecution, the only thing keeping them from sleeping on the streets is the kindness of ordinary people willing to do something extraordinary.

As the UK’s largest independent hosting charity, we’ve seen nearly 8,000 refugees and people seeking asylum find safety and stability in the homes of our volunteer hosts. Across more than 815,000 nights, they’ve opened their homes to provide a warm and welcoming respite as their guests find their feet and begin to rebuild their lives.
